How have we come to be in separation from our source?

"We’ve come to be habituated to look at objects - the forms rather than spirit.  The energies. We are reading the outside and not looking deep enough.  And that’s why we feel separate.  When we look at the infinite beyond limitation we see that consciousness manifested as our own selves.  All the selves become the Self and that is I, pure consciousness.  And yet I divide myself so that I can act and interact in this world.  Were it not so no action could take place. "

Is there any need for action?

"All forms must act because of their karma.  Their necessity to act, to become perfect.  I who am beyond action, manifest in a limited form and even so, I am required to act.  All must act so that consciousness can be aware.  Without action there is no awareness.  And yet for those deserving souls who strive in the path of realization from time to time I give respite from action and I let them perceive consciousness in its entirety.  Each and every one of us has the capacity to perceive the totality of consciousness.  The Goddess’s are a gate to infinite perception.

The deserving can come for a time when they are purified through the discipline of meditation.  They all must go back.  Then they come again.

Please tell all creation to strive in the path of disciplined meditation.  Please share with everyone the delight of making your mind quiet and being one and at peace.

(In 1987, while on one of their several tours throughout the United States visiting devotees, spiritual communities, and seekers; Shree Maa and Swami Satyananda met Robert Monroe at his institute in Virginia Beach.  The following is a partial transcription of Swamiji's experience there.  I highly recommend that you listen to the whole audio at  Devi Mandir. www.shreemaa.org  )
